General Description A Data Analyst is responsible for requirements gathering for data migration. It plays a pivotal role in ensuring the successful transfer of data from one system or environment to another while maintaining data integrity, quality, and accessibility. Their primary focus lies in understanding the specific needs of stakeholders, identifying data requirements, and translating them into actionable plans for migration.

Responsibilities - Stakeholder engagement: engage with stakeholders across various departments or teams to understand their data needs, business processes, and objectives related to the migration. This involves conducting interviews, workshops, and meetings to gather requirements, solicit feedback, and address concerns. - Requirements elicitation: systematically gathering and documenting data requirements by analyzing existing data structures, formats, and quality standards. - Data profiling and analysis: profiling source data to assess its quality, completeness, and consistency. Data Analysts identify data anomalies, duplicates, and inconsistencies that may impact the migration process and work with data stewards or subject matter experts to resolve issues and improve data quality. - Data mapping and transformation: mapping source data elements to target data structures and defining transformation rules to ensure data compatibility and consistency between systems. - Documentation and communication: documenting migration requirements, specifications, and procedures in comprehensive documentation to serve as a reference for stakeholders, technical teams, and project managers.

Requirements: - Solid of experience in similar initiatives - Experience with SQL - Differentiated soft skills for communication and stakeholder engagement - Advanced English for business communication
