Senior Android Developer

Gorilla Logic is working with clients in the financial services industry, looking to accelerate the introduction of several new products to market. We are looking for a Senior Android Developer, who will work with a team of engineers building and maintaining our client’s mobile application. This is a unique and highly technical role, requiring strong mobile development experience in delivering a leading-edge platform solution. Our environment will require you to work effectively with your teammates, of course. But your real success will be measured by how well you couple critical thinking with self-motivation, enthusiasm and determination.

Responsibilities

*Design and build apps for the Android platform *Work with the UI/UX design teams to ensure feasibility for implementation of designs *Build reusable code and libraries for future use *Optimize application for maximum speed and scalability *Break projects into deliverable tasks and ship them in multiple phases *Collaborate with other frontend and mobile developers

Requirements

*Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent experience) *5+ years of native Android app development experience required *Experience with offline storage, threading, and performance tuning required *Solid understanding of the full mobile development life cycle required *Good understanding of the Android SDK required *Experience with Kotlin programming language *Experience working with remote data via REST and JSON *Experience working with mobile identity management *Experience with unit and UI testing (jUnit, Mockito, Espresso) *Preferred experience with authentication and identity user flows *Experience publishing Android apps *Must have the ability to work independently in a dynamic, fast-paced environment *Strong communication skills to interact with Agile team members
