Senior Backend Engineer (Mexico - Remote)

About the Role

We are looking for a talented and creative individual who is passionate about architecting, integrating
and deploying scalable cloud software services. This is a unique opportunity to play a key role in helping
to build our cloud solution platform!

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Architect, scale and migrate databases, data warehouse, and data lakes
• Evaluate the trade-offs of different solutions to maximize performance and time-to-market
• Work closely with AWS Cloud Services: S3, IAM, EC2, IoT Core, Fargate
• Work with IaC and deployment tools: Pulumi, Terraform
• Work with data visualization tools such as Grafana
• Create reliable, secure, and scalable APIs
• Work with end-users to determine requirements and provide written technical documents
• Deliver high-quality, well-written code that is easily supported and maintainable
• Build microservices, distributed and event-driven systems
• Build scalable data pipelines and integrate them with IoT devices
• Self-manage timelines and communicate progress to the rest of the team

Qualifications:

• B.S. degree with 8+ years of software development experience
• Deep understanding of the databases and APIs.
• Must have Python, SQL, API, and AWS experience.
• Experience with postgres and time-series data.
• Experience using Git, JIRA, Docker, and Amazon Web Services (AWS) technologies
• Familiarity with backend web applications: Flask and serverless framework
• Working with Git, and Continuous Integration (Jenkins) in an Agile development environment.
• Experience interfacing with IoT cloud-based devices
• Writing excellent quality code that’s testable and well documented
• Ability to work as a team and communicate clearly in technical discussions.
• Experience with Fleet Management: MQTT protocol, remote interfacing and OTAs
