THE OPPORTUNITY

We are hiring a **Senior Back-end Software Engineer for our Access - CODE team in Brazil! **

Our main goal in CODE is to make well-being universal. From knowing about Gympass, getting access to exclusive benefits, and using our vast partner's network, it is in the end-user experience. CODE is an acronym for Consumer Digital Experience, which means we're in charge of the experience and services that will guide people into their wellbeing journey.

Access is one of the squads belonging to the Code's Focus Area, and it is responsible to ensure that our eligible users, either through a client or for being a family member, have access to Gympass.
Our main challenge is to provide secure and efficient ways to validate and register our eligibles, meeting the requirements and privacy rules of our clients. _

YOUR IMPACT

  • Help to define the architecture of systems and integrations, bring innovation to the table, and making sure design docs are up to date;
  • Ensure successful deliveries, and promote the long-term technical health of our journeys;
  • Ensure a high bar on code quality standards, making sure devs are proud of their work;
  • Spread development best practices such as code reviews, pair programming, TDD, etc;
  • Build reusable code for future use;
  • Take part in incident resolution and troubleshooting in the production;
  • Follow-up engineering and product KPIs;
  • Help Gympass grow by making it easier for new members to access.

WHO YOU ARE

  • Experience designing and developing complex modern web applications;
  • Experience with microservices and high volume distributed systems;
  • Experience in developing RESTful web services collaborating with front-end engineers to create mocks, define payloads, and HTTP status of APIs;
  • Proficient in one or more programming languages such as Kotlin, Java, Spring;
  • Experience with SQL/NoSQL technology such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, DynamoDB, and Elasticsearch, understanding common use cases and performance pitfalls;
  • Versed in concepts such as DDD, SOLID, Design Patterns distributed systems and architecture;
  • Deep understanding of event-driven architectures and message brokers such as KAFKA, RabbitMQ, ActiveMQ, and their use cases and pitfalls;
  • Experienced in implementing prototypes and in practices and concepts such as MVP, A/B testing, and feature toggles for rolling-out features to production;
  • Ability to apply computer science fundamentals: data structures, algorithm design, problem-solving, and complexity analysis;
  • Experience with monitoring, observability, and KPIs tracking;
  • Expertise with Cloud-based architectures in the AWS;
  • Experience with System Integrations.
  • Proficient in automated testing.
