About the team

Dialpad’s Growth team, within the product engineering organization, plays an essential role in user acquisition, retention, and monetization strategies. Our teams are highly collaborative and comprise of cross-disciplinary professionals, including Product Managers, Designers, QA specialists, as well as Engineers specializing in Data Engineering, Data Science, Fraud, and Telephony.

Our goal is to empower customers to leverage the full power of Dialpad's product suite for their businesses. We focus on improving the core platform, infrastructure, and overall user experience.

Your role

As a Senior Software Engineer specializing in Experimentation and Tracking, you’ll work closely with our Senior Growth Optimization Manager to design, execute, and analyze experiments at improving key metrics within our products. You’ll also help create and manage standardized tracking and experimentation capabilities for multiple product lines. You will help foster a culture of experimentation and data-driven decision making, and define best practices that enable the team to iterate and learn in increasingly tight feedback loops. You're equally as comfortable shipping user-facing experiences as you are writing custom queries to analyze experiment results.

This position reports to our Growth Engineering Manager and has the opportunity to be based in our LATAM Office.

What you’ll do

• Establish best practices, frameworks, and repeatable processes that enable us to measure the impact of every feature we build for customers across the world
• Develop and maintain code to easily implement and execute experimentation
• Define clear and actionable metrics for the experiments
• Own the tracking framework used by various features teams within product engineering
• Write clean, modular, and maintained code using best practices along with unit tests.
• Participate in code reviews to ensure code quality, maintainability, and scalability.
• Partner closely with growth leadership, engineering, product, and design to define our growth and experimentation strategy and help ship best in class user experiences
• Ensure that features are shipped on time and with the highest quality.
• Mentor junior engineers and help them grow their skills and expertise.

Skills you’ll bring _ _

• 5+ years of experience in full-stack software engineering
• Strong experience in data analysis and experimentation
• Experience in Python, Vue, SQL, Google Cloud Platform is an asset.
• Experience with Agile development methodologies
• Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills
• Iterative mindset, focusing on getting stuff done and iterating
• Experience working on a distributed team and able to work autonomously
